Michael joined Design House in February 2024, bringing experience in interior design, landscape design, residential renovation, and custom home drafting. Originally from New York, he studied interior design at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. His interest in building and design began during childhood through his love of LEGO, which remains one of his favorite creative hobbies. Michael began his career working for a landscape designer. Although he initially served as the office manager, he gradually became more involved in the design side of the business. He later helped launch a company focused on renovating and reselling foreclosed homes, giving him approximately 10 years of experience applying his design skills to residential properties. At Design House, Michael works closely with builders to update base plans, incorporate client changes, prepare preliminary drawings, and develop complete construction documents. Michael especially enjoys custom projects because they allow him to follow a home from its earliest hand-drawn sketch through construction. As a visual learner, he values visiting projects during the foundation, framing, and finishing stages. Seeing how each detail is built helps him improve the accuracy and practicality of future plans.
